👋🏻 Get to Know Us
We began dating in college at the University of Virginia. And from the beginning, he's known my family and I absolutely love the holiday season and its traditions. He even designed us a cartoon of our house at Christmas shortly after we met. 🙂
Fast-forward a few years to our wedding in 2022, when we got married at Christmastime! Now the season is that much more special, as we celebrate Christmas and our anniversary all in the same month.
Whether it’s taste-testing recipe experiments (his preference would be for all the experiments to include chocolate 😉), helping wash dishes after a long shoot day, or brainstorming new dessert ideas with me, Saman has always encouraged me to keep creating.
🎄 Fun Facts About Our Christmastime Wedding
I made our wedding cake, and Saman was there every step of the way. From taste-testing assistance to transportation, logistics, and moral support, it wouldn't have been possible without him.

Together, Saman and I also decorated festive macarons that we served on our dessert table.
🍯 🌙 A Holiday Honeymoon
For our honeymoon, we leaned into the season by visiting Christmas markets in Munich, Austria, and Budapest.
The architecture, food, cozy winter drinks, and endless supply of ornaments all made for an epic experience during the Christmas season!
👩🏻🍳 Baking Backstory
My early baking days included a play kitchen and a Watch-it Bake Oven from Betty Crocker
Under my parents' roof, we always had dessert, courtesy of my mom's own sweet tooth and love for baking.
She'd often let me "help" in the kitchen by taste-testing; I can still hear her calling upstairs to me from the kitchen, asking if I'd like to lick the beaters after she'd made something. And you know I never turned that down!
